No matter what flock you fly with, it's a good time of year not to be a turkey.
Survival/etiquette tip: If you are a turkey, try not to act like one.

Babies grow up fast.
Many prides of peacocks and peahens (peafowl) run free in our neighborhood. One of Mother Nature's survival tricks is to get baby birds grown up quickly. This is one of three little ones that has been dropping by since the peachicks were the size of iceberg lettuce. Our little human versions hang around for 18 years (or more!) before they finally leave the nest fully grown--and we don't tire of them either.

Pure & Simple

Favorite decorating tip? Work with Mother Nature. Not that you should need
a reason to visit a farmers' market, roadside stand or local pumpkin patch. Getting outside
is reward enough. Bring some goodies home, surround yourself with beauty--or just enjoy
the season's bounty to fuel your good health. That's nice.
